I Buy Cars
Selling your car? Let me buy it! Trading your car? Let me help you!
Honesty is the best policy — for years now my nickname has been Honest Hieronymus.
As my father taught me, a firm handshake, look into your customer’s eyes, and always make sure your check is good — following these procedures lets your customer know that you’re honest and forthright, have unsurpassed integrity, and that a check never bounces.
But not everyone is assured in these difficult times with the above. Some won’t accept a check. Well, in these cases: YES, I WILL PAY YOU IN CASH.
Honesty and cash are great but let’s think outside the box why Hieronymus Auto Sales should buy the car you’re trading/selling.
Logistically, who is going to offer the most for your trade?
- The guy less greedy – we all know the big franchise dealers are the culprit here.
- The buyer with the least overhead has fewer bills to pay WILL BID higher (which is me).
- Contacts and means. If I can locate parts, paint detailing and advertising less then the next guy, I can pay more for a car, repair it and resale it, and receive less profit and still make a living through these logistics.
- Safety/carjacking. This is a classic problem. A buyer shows up to buy your car, and then requests to see your title. He grabs the title, jumps into the car, and you’re out of luck because by the time a police officer shows up to do the report, the car has already been sold to another party.
- Convenience/education. How important is it for you to save time and money and obtain information? If I can come to your house, educate you as to the value of your car, show up on time, and between your busy schedule, pay you and leave, how nice is that?
- Mechanics Approval. More often than not, you shake hands on a price for your vehicle and the buyer then throws out, “I want my mechanic to look at it just to see if it is safe.” After four hours waiting at their mechanic’s office, the buyer comes back and says the car is going to need $2000 in repairs sooner than later. You reply, “We had a deal.” Since it’s a used car, you either cave in and sell the car short or drive away in a bad mood and a loss of a work day.
- Legal Issues. This is a big one in today’s attorney suing society. Why should this apply? I’ve been paid! Who cares? —— (WRONG!). You have to care because until you notify the authorities, namely your insurance company, that the car is sold and properly re-registered in another person’s name, you can still be held responsible for the other person’s actions in a court of law unless proper documentation has been prepared.
AS A LICENSED/BONDED/ INSURED COMPANY, BY LAW, IT IS MY JOB TO ACT WITHIN THE GUIDELINES OF ALL STATUTES OF THE LAW.
